Supplier Code of Conduct

At Equitas People Partners Pte. Ltd. (“Equitas”, “we”, “our”, or “the Company”), we are committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and sustainably. We expect all suppliers, vendors, contractors, consultants, and business partners working with us to uphold the same professional standards throughout their operations and supply chains.

This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the principles and expectations that all suppliers are required to follow while conducting business with Equitas People Partners.

1. Compliance With Laws & Regulations

Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in the jurisdictions where they operate. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Employment and labour laws
  • Health and workplace safety regulations
  • Environmental laws
  • Anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws
  • Data protection and privacy regulations

Suppliers are expected to maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and approvals required to conduct their business operations legally.

2. Ethical Business Practices

Suppliers must conduct business with honesty, integrity, fairness, and professionalism.

Equitas strictly prohibits:

  • Corruption
  • Bribery
  • Fraudulent practices
  • Extortion
  • Facilitation payments
  • Embezzlement or unethical conduct

Any violation of ethical business standards may result in corrective action, suspension, or termination of the business relationship.

3. Labour & Human Rights Standards

Suppliers are expected to uphold internationally recognised human rights and fair labour practices.

This includes:

  • Providing safe and healthy working conditions
  • Complying with applicable wage and employment laws
  • Respecting employee rights and dignity
  • Prohibiting forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking
  • Supporting lawful freedom of association where permitted by law

Suppliers should maintain workplaces free from harassment, abuse, intimidation, or exploitation.

4. Diversity, Inclusion & Non-Discrimination

Suppliers must promote equal opportunity and fair treatment within their workforce.

Discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, gender, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic is not acceptable.

Equitas values diversity, inclusion, and respectful workplace practices across all business relationships.

5. Health & Safety

Suppliers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.

Appropriate measures should be implemented to:

  • Prevent workplace accidents and injuries
  • Maintain occupational health standards
  • Provide relevant safety training and equipment
  • Comply with local health and safety regulations

6. Environmental Responsibility

Suppliers are encouraged to operate responsibly and minimise environmental impact wherever possible.

This includes:

  • Reducing waste and pollution
  • Conserving energy and resources
  • Following environmental regulations
  • Promoting sustainable operational practices

We encourage suppliers to continuously improve environmental performance and support sustainable business initiatives.

7. Supply Chain Transparency

Suppliers are expected to maintain transparency regarding their supply chains and business practices.

Suppliers should take reasonable steps to ensure that their subcontractors, vendors, and service providers also operate in accordance with the principles outlined in this Supplier Code of Conduct.

8. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Suppliers must protect confidential information shared by Equitas People Partners and maintain appropriate data security measures.

Any personal data, sensitive information, or business information accessed during the course of work must:

  • Be used only for authorised purposes
  • Be protected against unauthorised access or disclosure
  • Be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws

9. Conflict-Free & Responsible Sourcing

Suppliers should avoid knowingly sourcing materials, products, or services connected to:

  • Human rights abuses
  • Illegal activities
  • Conflict financing
  • Environmental harm

We encourage responsible sourcing practices throughout the supply chain.

10. Continuous Improvement & Compliance Monitoring

Equitas encourages suppliers to continuously improve operational, ethical, environmental, and compliance practices.

We may request information, conduct reviews, or assess supplier compliance with this Supplier Code of Conduct where necessary.

Suppliers are expected to actively monitor and maintain compliance within their own operations and supply chains.

11. Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Corrective action requests
  • Suspension of services
  • Termination of contracts or business relationships
  • Legal or regulatory action where applicable

12. Commitment To Responsible Business

By engaging in business with Equitas People Partners Pte. Ltd., suppliers acknowledge and agree to uphold the principles outlined in this Supplier Code of Conduct.

We reserve the right to update or revise this Code periodically to reflect changes in business practices, legal requirements, or industry standards.
